In March we scheduled a trip to the Creation Museum in the Cincy area…and then it snowed truckloads! It snowed so much we actually cancelled church but none of that matters because it is a blazin hot summer day and our trip won’t be cancelled this time.
We are taking a one day trip to the Creation Museum on Saturday, Aug 16th. The hope is that this experience will help you continue to develop a biblical perspective on creation. There are limited spots so sign up now. You may do so clicking here>

Baseball games are good times! On Thursday, August 14 you should join your friends from Student Impact at Progressive Field for an Indians game as SI goes “on the road”. We will be taking a bus from the Warehouse at 5p and riding up to the park and returning there after the game. Get the rest of the details here>

On Tuesday mornings I (McAlvey) am at local coffee shop here in the burbs and have coffee with students before they make their way to class. Yes, it is early (especially for Twinsburg, 6:25am) but it is always a good time. The picture in todays post is from the committed Starbucks lovers of Twinsburg who showed up this morning. I have listed below the remaining coffee connections for this school year. If you don’t live in one of these school districts but would like to have a coffee connection of your own here is how to make it happen.
1. Find a coffee shop that is near your school.
2. Get other students from your school and parksidehighschool to agree to meet.
3. Find a Wednesday or Thursday morning that fits in with my schedule too via e-mail
4. Wake up - connect - go to class

All right today is “Selection Sunday” for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. If you would like to participate in our bracket competition you will want to follow the steps in this posting and get on board. There will be fab prizes for the top finishers and you must have your picks completed before the first game on Thursday!

The trip to the Creation Museum that is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 has been canceled due to bad weather. We will try and reschedule this trip in May. Stay updated on all events by signing up for Twitter and get text messages sent to your cell phone!

It’s that time of the year again…time for the NCAA Tournament! Think you can guess how the bracket is going to play out?
Sign up for the Tournament Pick ‘Em and show us what you got! There are some sweet prizes for the winner… Here’s how to play:
- Sign up for a Yahoo! account if you don’t already have one
- Go to the Yahoo! Sports Tournament Pick ‘Em Page
- Click “Join a Group”
- Click “Join Group” on the left of the screen
- Enter in the following info: Group ID is 19627 and password is warehouse
- Select “Save & Continue”. You are now officially part of the competition!
The bracket will be announced on Sunday, March 16th. You’ll have until the start of the first game on Thursday March 20th to make your picks. So, after you have registered, be sure to go back to the Pick ‘Em page between the 16th and 20th to fill out your bracket (under “My Picks”). Keep things real by talking smack to each other and stay tuned to see if you’re smart enough (or lucky enough!) to win it all!
